To celebrate the arrival of new and returning students to West Highland College, Nevis Radio has spent the last week broadcasting from the venue itself. We’ve had a great time interacting with the students and the staff, even if most of them were too shy with us to chat with us on air. The college had such a buzz throughout Fresher’s week and we loved finding out about the different courses offered right on our doorstep, from Adventure Sports to Child Care and Cookery. It also gave us a chance to try out remotely controlling the studio from a laptop without anyone back in the studio, which was a great success. We’re itching to use this in different locations around the area now! Check out the pictures below to see what we got up to:
The outside broadcast teamĀ (minus Esme who cropped herself out and Jean who wasn’t there that day) AKA Ian, Simon and PARJAY.
Simon providing a soundtrack to Fresher’s week on his decks.
Jean getting down with the kids and having a blast!
A big thanks to the staff at West Highland College for asking us to come and for being such lovely hosts, we hope we helped make Fresher’s week even more special for the students!
