We would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Fort William Mountain Warehouse for a donation of £311 from their customised tote bags. Mountain Warehouse chose Nevis Community Radio for their charity this year. The bags were sold in the local store with a donation from each sale being given to us.
When the largest cruise ship to visit Fort William arrived on Sunday 9th June, Nevis Radio were there with the Fort William Marina and Shoreline Company to welcome her.
We were invited on board this magnificent ship to meet the captain Mr Robert Froenbroek and have a tour of the ships facilities.
We were made very welcome and had a good time looking around. The captain presented us with a personalised model of the ship and allowed us to sound the ships horn to wake up Fort William.
The team at Nevis Community Radio Ltd are proud winners in the 2019 Lochaber VOSCARS.
These awards are nominated for by the public, and then the top 3 are selected by a panel of judges from Voluntary Action Lochaber.
We were nominated in the “Best Supporting Organisation” category, and announced winners at the award ceremony on Thursday 6th June at the Ben Nevis Hotel.
This is a big and very welcome award for the station as it is exactly what we hope we offer our community, that is, support and a vehicle for other groups and organisations to be able to publicise and report on their events and activities.
A huge thanks to those that nominated us and the panel for thinking us worthy winners.
We are very humble, and “CHUFFED” to bits!
To assist with the day to day operations of Nevis Radio, we are trialling changing the Breakfast Show start time.
From Monday 4th March 2019 the Nevis Breakfast Show with Sy will be changing times to

You will still be getting the same bulletins throughout the morning.
*SSDT coverage in May will start at 07:00
We have been busy over the last couple of months at Nevis HQ.
The studio has a new ceiling and lighting, new acoustic tiles on the walls, new carpet, and to top it all we now have a temperature control system.
This major upgrade was made possible mainly to the Tesco Community Fund (blue tokens in store).
If you selected us as your charity – THANK YOU
Your next shopping trip to the Co-op could be a BIG benefit to us.
We are delighted and honoured to of been selected as 1 of the 3 charities you can nominate for this years Co-op Community fund when you shop at the Corpach store throughout 2019.
When customers buy Co-op own brand products or services, 1% goes to the local Co-Op community fund. This money along with the money from the single use carrier bag sales supports projects in the local community.
Simply go online to your Co-op account and you can select the cause you wish to support with your 1%. If you live out with the postcode area it may show you the 30 closest causes, alternatively speak to the friendly staff in the Co-op in Corpach and say you would like to support your local radio station NEVIS RADIO!
